Friday, September 15 was our annual Pumpkin Day. The weather was perfect for the sale – a hint of fall, yet plenty warm enough to enjoy being outside for much of the day. We had over 300 pallets of pumpkins and gourds and close to 150 flowers, along with some straw bales, corn stalks, and ornamental corn. There were also some smaller quantities of watermelon, tomatoes, squashes and other seasonal produce. Our sale was well attended and our lunch team served over 200 people with a very tasty offering of grilled chicken, baked beans, potato salad, noodles and a variety of desserts. It was a very festive and fun event. Our next sale is Tuesday, September 19 at 10 am. We expect to have a more balanced offering of seasonal veggies, melons and pumpkins.
