Friday, September 19, was our annual Pumpkin Day and Customer Appreciation and it did not disappoint! We had over 300 bins of pumpkins and gourds, some fun prize giveaways and a super tasty lunch made by a number of our growers’ wives. Our next sale will be Tuesday, September 23, starting at 10am. It won’t be pumpkin day quantities, but we will still have a solid offering of pumpkins, gourds, mums, grasses and other fall fare – along with some tomatoes, watermelon, and cantaloupe. I’m told that the tomatoes are about done for the season. However, the melons are still setting on and they have great late season flavor! I’ve also been told that we’ll be seeing radishes, lettuce mixes, and cabbages here very soon – maybe even on Tuesday!
